Senior Spotlight Karina Wisz

Before the semester ends, a big shout out to Karina Wisz is well deserved. From Elmwood Park, NJ; studying Business Administration and Finance, she will be graduating early her senior year, in December 2017. Wisz has made many memories throughout her senior year, gaining many internship opportunities and job interviews her previous semesters and in her current senior semester. "Rider's CBA has impacted me in ways that I would have never imagined", Wisz stated.

The career fair was a big help for Wisz, it was a stepping-stone for her to make connections and gain experience. Professors included, she was able to learn about their pervious careers in her field of Finance. Not only talking about internship and job opportunities, her professors also helped with her resume, "my resume is so greatly formatted because of all the help I've gotten, including the help from Career Services," Wisz explained.

She has had two internships while at Rider University, in the summer of 2016 she interned with Kuehne and Nagel. This experience showed Wisz what it was like to work in a corporate office. "I was able to work in a team, and working at Kuehne and Nagel Headquarters, I was exposed to more information about the company compared to local offices around the world", Wisz clarified. Her most recent internship was in the summer of 2017 with Hertz, which taught her how to have better customer service skills and how to build a client list.

The Rider CBA program has given Wisz more confidence in all the things that she has accomplished at Rider University and in the real world. She is not timid to connect with future employers and go outside of her comfort zone to find her future career. The Rider CBA program made Wisz's perspective of the future attainable. She is now more comfortable, seeking job opportunities and reaching her goals in the future that she would have never imagined without the help of the Rider CBA program.
